Ensure your wireless device doesn't use a static IP address
You may use a static IP address for a home or office wireless network. metromesh requires you to use an automatically generated IP address.Windows XP

Click Start, Click Control Panel, Click Network Connections. Right mouse click your wireless device and select 'Properties'. The window should look like the following:  Scroll down and click TCP/IP. Click the Properties button Once a window appears, ensure the following options are selected as shown in the picture below:  Obtain IP address automatically Obtain DNS address automatically Once these have been set, click the OK button and continue. Click OK once again to save the settings. |
