Connect to the metromesh wireless network
To get on metromesh you need to ensure your PC is connected to the metromesh wireless network. To connect, perform the following steps for your operating system:Windows XP SP2
On your taskbar you should see a picture of an icon as follows.  This icon indicates you are NOT connected to a wireless network. Double click this icon. Alternatively you can right mouse click this icon and select 'View Available Wireless networks' You will see a screen similar to the following:  You may see other networks detected here. Double click the metromesh wireless network. You will be presented with a security warning. Click 'continue anyway'  You should now see the icon that previously had a cross on it will now show some activity.  In addition, the 'Choose a network' window should display Acquiring network address.  You are now connected to metromesh. You will next need to launch your web browser and create your account. |
